My love for photography started in college, where it quickly became my favorite class. I had an incredible instructor, Steve Kohls, who not only taught me the technical side of composing images but also showed me the importance of being human behind the lens. He had a way of making learning fun, often saying, “Photography is a lot like hunting—you’ve got to shoot it until you kill it.” It always made me laugh, but it also stuck with me. What started as a class turned into a lifelong commitment to the craft.
